1999 JDM import, 104k miles. Silverstone silver under the wrap. Owned the car since April 2014 and was written off as a Cat C in 2015 when a person didn't stop at a junction and hit the driver's side front right damaging paintwork, front bumper, and front upper wishbone but nothing structural like the crash beam was bent or chassis legs etc (I do have pics of the damage too). I purchased the car back from the insurance company and turned it into the car it is today and has been ever since. Always used Motul 300v for engine oil and Motul for gearbox/diff and all flushed every year and always run on premium fuel. Car sees about 6 track days a year and rest of the time spent locked away in the garage away from the elements. No expense spared on the car throughout ownership with thousands spent on parts and probably something I shouldn't add up as it would be scary. The car is not perfect cosmetically as its impossible being it's a fully gutted track car but mechanically its perfect and an absolute weapon on track. Car has a custom alignment and fully corner balanced weighing 1174kg without the driver. Inside it has a fully welded 4 point roll cage and 6 point harness.
AP2 retainers and keepers replaced as well as AP2 banjo bolt oil squirters as these are known AP1 issues. New Honda PCV valve, New Honda map sensor, New Honda Denso coil packs, injectors cleaned in 2021 and New Honda PGMFI main relay recently purchased for piece of mind as car is now 23 years old. No timing chain noises which are also common with age as they can stretch causing ticking but all fine on this motor.
Recently wrapped in KPMF marina gloss by me so not perfect but looks decent and looks almost identical to the Apex blue from the CR model.
Valve clearances done every year and new valve cover gaskets and seals replaced this year.
Shoe box full of original Japanese paperwork with the car along with spare keyfob as well as service history. TBH there is probably a lot more I've done to the car as I left no stone unturned, but main ones are listed above. The main goal of the car was to keep it reliable and create a road legal NA race/track car and I can guarantee that you would be very hard pressed to find another S2000 setup this well for track, especially with the 4.77 final drive.
I am truly gutted to be selling the car as I always thought I would have it forever, but I really fancy moving onto something a little newer/faster, possibly a Cayman GT4 and can't justify buying a 3rd car right now.
4 Owners, service history up until 2015 with the last one done by Honda Tunbridge Wells and then after it was turned into a track car I have performed all the servicing since. MOT due 7th March 2023.
