This 1959 Turner MK1 Coventry Climax is a very special example of the Turner Sports Car. First developed in 1959, the MK1 Turner was typically fitted with a BMC type power-plant. This particular car, chassis # 60-414 WNT-227 was one of only 46 cars to receive a 1098cc Coventry Climax engine, at that time being used in the Lotus 11. Thus making it a Turner MK1 Climax. Life started for this car in the Turner Factory in December of 1959 as a LHD car where it remained until February of 1962 as the Turner Factory Team Car and Works Demonstrator. Then registered as 6636RE which it still holds today. The car was also featured when new in The Autocar0 Magazine as a road test in January of 1960.
This car is stunning right hand drive. Meticulously maintained and ready to race. Own this piece of history and enjoy racing to its fullest.
