The well known ex Neil Smith Fiat Uno is now for sale or for hire to fund another project.
The car was originally built by a Tom Read in about 1993 and was developed further by Neil Smith to win the 2002 and 2003 Auto-Italia Championship. A very quick car which is probably the best developed and best handling Fiat Uno around. It has very neutral handling and really does grip & go! It is not eligible for the FRC.
It won its class at Oulton Park last time out beating well developed Peugeot 205s & XR2s.
A competitive car for a number of series & ideal for the CSCC Tin Tops series where it has raced several times over the last 3 years.
The car has a road identity (V5) and so could be converted to a rally car or may be eligible for historic/classic events in the future.
Features an extremely stiff shell - Rollcentre T45 Cage triangulated to suspension mounts, strengthened and seam welded shell.
Now fitted with freshly built Fiat SOHC engine by renowned engine guru Richard Beatty (ex TWR Le Mans Jaguar engine builder) of Wolf Direct Racing.
