Up for sale is the Tin Top Class Championship winning car, that has achieved 9 1st, 2 2nd and a 3rd in class so far this season. It will be driven by Nikolas Barton at the remaining two rounds of the BARC Tin Tops unless a buyer wants it before then.
It was completely stripped and rebuilt for this season with a full respray inside and out, it had new doors fitted along with new windows. I comes complete with two spare doors, a spare bootlid, spare bonnet and complete body kit. Other spares include gearbox, fuel tank (for if you want to enter CSCC Tin tops for example) Passenger seat and harness, a spare set of Weber DCOE40 Twin Carbs, extra exhaust silencer, alternators, starter motors, suspension arms, lights, indicators, plugs, distributors, coils and a selection of Kent race / rally / fast road cams and lifters.
Body Shell - Rust free and restored over the winter months with new panels all lightened single skin boot and bonnet with light weight doors. A safety Devices 6 point roll cage which is welded in to the car with extra bracing. 20 litre Alloy fuel tank in place of the original. The total weight of the car is 743kg.
Drivetrain - Blueprinted CVH engine with Weber DCOE40 Twin carbs, Kent fast road cam, facet fuel pump, alloy oil catch tank, custom alloy header tank, transit alloy rad, heat wrapped maniflow exhaust manifold, maniflow exhaust system, short shift linkage that is positioned closer to the drivers seat / steering wheel, quaife straight cut gears, Ford RS Turbo LSD, gearbox professionally rebuilt for this season. Running 136bhp with printout on Gerald Dales rolling road when it was set up. Has since had a kent full race cam fitted with solid lifters.
Braking - Wilwood 4 piston billet front callipers just had pads anda spare new boxed set, rebuilt standard rear drums, bias floor mounted pedal box to get perfect positioning, bias adjuster in dash and braided lines through the car.
Interior - Cobra sebring seat, orange TRS 5 point harness, custom made dash, custom made wiring loom, steering wheel has been re positioned to get the best driving position and can be altered to suit other drivers by adjusting rose joints.
Suspension - Leda front adjustable dampers with adjustable camber, gaz adjustable rears, lock wired rear suspension. Suspension was set up by Maylem Motorsport and checked on laser alignment set up equipment.
Wheels / tyres - 4 x Ford RS7 spoke 14' wheels with Dunlop Slicks, 8 x Ford Zetec S multi spoke alloys painted graphite with Toyo 888r tyres in various condition. Also included is 4 x Avon wet race tyres. And two dunlop direzza tyres fitted on 24/09.
I have lots and lots of recipts and photos of the built and ongoing parts that have been bought. The reason for selling is that Nik is progressing up a national championship next season. Would also make a great track day car ! Any other related parts will be included as I will have no use for them. I have lots of pictures of the car just email for any more information.
