A superb Original full spec Rover SD1 rally car , very little use from new ....has been dry stored for many years , built in period (mid 1980's) using only original Austin Rover Motorsport and Gartrac parts.
Gartrac Shell - was built/prepared from a brand new motorsport shell supplied by ARM and sent to Gartrac to be prepared , with all usual features - weld in triangulated roll cage , turrets , axle links, big tunnels & exhaust tunnel coming out of rear panel . Flaired wheel arches to accommodate wide wheels , seamwelded , sill skids , full length sumpguard etc.
Car was put together with full supporting factory parts from Austin Rover Motorsport ,
Gartrac Fully floating 4HA Salisbury axle , Rover LT77 gear box , and rally spec V8 engine built by RS engines running on Twin carbs (also comes with another V8 competition engine, built by the same people but higher spec/bhp running on 4 carbs- was new built but never used) AP racing alloy 4 pot brakes alround with vented discs with Alloy hubs and disc bells to suit , seperate AP handbrake calipers which inc cables , dash adj bias pedal box and hyd hand brake , Gartrac Bilstein coil over front and rear suspension , Alloy rose jointed top mounts , heavy duty X member, Gartrac Alloy fuel tank and twin fuel pumps , power steering , large hot climate radiator , bespoke Austin Rover Motorsport competition wiring loom , with centre switch panel , Original works magnesium speedline wheels , Recaro bucket seats and Full harness belts , Terratrip , Bilstein jack etc etc.This is a professionally built car using all correct parts.
This car is in original condition , having been in dry storage for most of its life, there is no sign of rust what so ever , and no sign of stone damage to the floor at all ! Any inspection is welcome.
Subject to price agreed comes with its original ARM full spares package which inc. 6" , 7" and 8" works mag speedline wheels , a new spare competition engine running on quad webers, a spare gear box , new front and rear Bilstein suspension , new halfshafts , steering rack , and lots more parts !
Ideal car to go historic circuit racing , hill climbs , classic rallying etc !
