Subaru Impreza WRX JDM Race Car (SOLD)

Currently set up for a 'production' spec race series. Ideal for Nippon Challenge (GT300 class), hill climb, or ideal for a start up package for CSCC modern classics or even as a very good exciting track day car as V5 present. Car is very well sorted on the handling front and very competitive and was a front runner in the Red Dragon 'Subaru Cup' and also in the GT300 category gaining several overall podiums against more potent, lighter machinery. Car originally prepared by X-spec in Hinkley but much improved since purchased in 2009 Specification - 1996 JDM WRX 2.0 closed deck block with STI v3 heads ACL race bearings Paddle clutch with lightened flywheel 3" decat exhaust system (Cobra sports system) Upgraded Walboro fuel pump Suspension is coilover suspension (custom set up from x-spec) on standard top mounts with spring adjustment only, poly-bushed throughout, front and rear strut braces and under car H brace. Whiteline adjustable ARB to the rear Alloy wishbones to the front (STI items) 4 pot Subaru brake calipers (recently refurbished with stainless steel pistons) with CDF brake stopper kit fitted to prevent bulkhead flex when braking. OMP suede steering wheel and boss Manual boost control fitted, running 1 bar boost running on last rolling road session @ 286bhp. Boost gauge and oil pressure gauge also fitted Lightweight race battery fitted inside car Seat for the 'wider' person. Advan Forged Alloy wheels with scrubbed silverstone tyres (one 15 minute session), will sell with car if full price offered. Rechargeable transponder and holds charge for four days and regularly topped up to ensure good battery health Recent work carried out - Gearbox rebuild (two meetings old - less than 2 hours running) Clutch replaced (two meetings old - less than 2 hours running) Recent Cam belt change with new tensioner and pulleys (4 hours running) Intercooler water spray with zerosport intercooler splitter fitted. New Sump, plugs and coilpacks Oils and fluids in engine, gearbox and diff Wiring recenlty undergone some tidying up with removal unwanted loom items to doors and boot, also cut off switch panel moved and wiring tidied to battery / rain light and push button start. All mechanical work carried out by Arden Bridge Services near Redditch a local subaru specialist and also Powerstation in Tewkesbury for the suspension set up. Safety - OMP bolt in cage with door bars and additional harness bar Lifeline fire extinguisher, in date Lightened doors and bodywork, boot etc. but all locks on doors retained for security. 5 point harness included (date - 2015) Car is 1176 Kg's post weight race weight with (heavy) driver with weight to loose as heater and aircon matrix still present under dashboard and original glass. Spares to include a set of STI 17" alloys with Federal A959 tyres on, Set of WRX alloys with 215 Silverstones, spare exhaust (105db so quite loud), spare bumpers and bumper bars, set of yellow 330cc injectors, and various bits and bobs including a genuine low spoiler (paintwork not great on this). Car pictured below, bodywork is ok but obviously carries a few scratches in line with age and race use. V5 and number plates included so could be made road legal if really required with some work for track day use as a normal road car.
