THE BUILD
This 1981 911 SC was built from a bare metal shell late in 2012, all fabrication on the car was done by Steve Lancaster using body parts and strengthening plates supplied by Tuthill. A multipoint T45 custom cages roll cage has been welded in. All welding on the car is 1st class and finished to a very high standard. This car was purpose built for tarmac events only and has never been on gravel.
ENGINE/GEARBOX
The 3.0 Litre flat 6 engine has recently benefited from the removal of PMO carburettors and replaced with mechanical fuel injection. A new fuel pump and injectors. The engine has been rebuilt new clutch, pistons, rings and bearings have been replaced, since then has only covered 90 stage miles. The Gearbox has all new gears supplied by Albins and was built by Mike Bainbridge and has covered less than 200 stage miles without a single fault.
SUSPENSION/BRAKES
Fitted with reiger coilovers that have covered a small 90 stage miles this car sits beautifully and handles even better. RSR steering drop links have been installed resulting in the removal of bump steer. The brakes are porsche turbo, front brakes have covered less than 200 stage miles and rear have covred less than 90 miles.
