Description
Up for sale here is my 2001 Bowler Wildcat 200. This car is purpose built onto a space frame to compete in the likes of comp safari, hill rallies, rally raid, dakar, toutes terrain, NORC, AWDC, SCCC, BCCC, SASLRC etc... Under the bonnet is a 5.2 John Eales V8, believe me when I say this thing shifts and sounds awesome. The car had been stood for a while until I purchased it in early 2014. The previous owner enjoyed spending money on the car but left it parked in his garage! He had recent bills from QT services totalling over 20k on various upgrades he had done to the car at QT headquarters. The bulk of the money was spent chassis strengthening / wrapping, fitting the latest type QT tubular radius arms, altering the suspension turrets to the current spec & 4x new Donerre shock absorbers fitting. In the short time I've owned the car it has been maintained meticulously and has had an absolute fortune thrown at it. This has been spent on: Full re-spray in Land Rover, Metallic, Santorini Black Custom made stainless steel front bumper, steering guard, tailgate handle & side bars "Aero catch" bonnet catches fitted Stainless steel Protex catches fitted on rear tub Later type discovery 2 rear lights fitted Old style rear lower lights removed & fibreglassed up to fit LED's Rear indicators & running / brake lights replaced with LED Side repeaters, front side lights & indicators replaced with LED Wipac SVX crystal headlight bowls with LED DRL's New headlight surrounds KBX front grille adapted to suit Stainless steel mesh to cover bonnet & tailgate apertures "Blindo" alloy wheels Bulldog 30mm wheel spacers Technospeed Kevlar sidewall tyres PS2000 service and overhaul on Donerre's recently undertaken Quaife R380 gear kit fitted Reconditioned transfer box recently fitted Front & rear prop shafts custom made & replaced "Gripper" limited slip plate diff centres Ashcroft crown wheel & pinions All four diff cases professionally "pegged" by Ashcroft Ashcroft CV's & special 300M front & rear shafts fitted Both axle breathers replaced with stainless hose & fittings Front ball joints replaced Fit a full set of wheel bearings in 2014 and have just replaced all 4 (and oil seals) again with OEM Full set of genuine track rod ends New Bilstein steering damper Both head gaskets replaced & heads checked Paddle clutch segments replaced & flywheel skimmed Stainless braided clutch hose with fire sleeve Clutch master & slave cylinder replaced New starter motor New oil filter head & pressure switch New Optima red top battery. New set of Magnecor KV85 ignition leads New genuine Bosch coil packs fitted New throttle cable. Spark plugs replaced regularly Brake master cylinder replaced Full set of brake pads recently fitted New radiator New serpentine belt Steering box replaced Panard rod replaced Air flow sensor New horn Huge capacity washer bottle fitted into custom built stainless steel cage & 30 PSI pump. Mud flaps replaced with Polyurethane. All Wheel arch spats replaced with new. Side windows & sliders replaced with unbreakable "Hammerglass" New heated screen & Bosch wiper blades Other parts on the car that were already fitted but are worth a mention are: Willians 5 point harness' Terratrip Fiddle brake In car camera system Peltor Intercom 150 ltr fuel tank Strengthened & tubed front axle Dual fans Plumbed in fire extinguisher system. I've probably missed some stuff but I think you get the picture. This is an amazing, iconic car that is highly competitive even in the hands of a novice like myself - current class leader in N.O.R.C. Results can be seen here: http://www.norc.org.uk/pages/results-2015 I am still competing with the car so it will be mechanically sound but will have the usual battle scars you would expect of a race car. It was used as a wedding car in July and had an MOT at this point although it is currently SORN. I'm not in any rush to sell it so please, please...no dreamers, timewasters or stupid offers...I'll just carry on racing it. We regularly export vehicles through our business so I am able to arrange container loading & worldwide shipping if the need arises. Spares package available by separate negotiation.
