Ford Escort Mk2 Grp 4 Rally Car

The car was fabricated from a mint road going car and is built to full Grp 4 spec by Stephen Nevin (www.skn rally eservices.com). If you don't know him, Stephen would have an excellent track record in fabricating and building cars. He has fabricated 2 shells for John Moynahan recently and has fabricated and built cars for Seamus O'Connell (4), Marty Mccormick, George Bryson, 3 for me plus numerous others. ShellSeam welded shell, Re-enforced bulkhead, large gearbox and diff tunnel, fully skidded foot wells, fully skidded chassis to cill plates along with 4 link boxes. Full welded in cage braced under the dash, with extra bars fitted for further safety. EngineAll steel Pinto engine (dry sumped) built by Willie McCullough (widely regarded as one of the best in the North) on twin 48's. Putting out 194 bhp and 160 ILbs of torque. I could easily get more bhp from engine but this has been sacrificed for the torque. GearboxI am selling the car fitted with a 5 speed professional quaife. A 5 speed sequential Sellholm box and two piece shaft is available if wanted. AxleTwin tapered full floating axle with 5,1cwp and ZF LSD. Axle built and supplied by Phil Squires (same one Moynahan sells) so it is built with the best gear. Suspension (front)/ SteeringTension strut kit with adjustable bilstiens all round. Heavy duty steering rack. Suspension rear4 linked and watts linkage, rose jointed bilstiens, Link tubes are the thicker Grp 4 type not the clubman bars.
